Wesley So hurdle passed his first round assignment against FM Djuraev Sokhi of Tajikistan. The PGN at the WJCC8 official website isn't available at the moment . On the other hand, it looks like NM Haridas Pascua was not that so lucky against his much tougher opponent, IM Melkumyan Hrant. So will next face 40th seed IM Sengupta Deep of India (2454) in the second round while Haridas will try to bounce back against still to be named opponent.

I'm looking forward for the Wesley So vs Yifan Hou encounter.
If both players keep on winning and made it to the next round. Both are seeded players so we may not see an early early pairings between the two.
