When everyone is talking about Carlsen to be the no.1!
Bilbao Grand Slam hero, Vaselin Topalov of Bulgaria regain his status as the no.1 chess player on the planet based on the ratings points conducted by chessliverating as of September 15 2008 and possibly also emerged as no.1 when the FIDE ratings are released this coming October 1. Meanwhile, long time holder of the no.1 position and current world champion Vishwanathan of India plummeted to no. 5 spots behind Morozevich, Carlsen, Ivanchuk who occupied the no.2,3 and 4 spots respectively.
