Missing in FIDE. What the...

GM elect Ronald Dableo failed to made it among those who awarded the lifelong title of chess grandmaster at the 80th FIDE Congress held last October 11-17 in Halkidiki, Greece and it may have something to do with his current rating that is short of the required 2500 or over. No International Master was awarded for Filipinos as well. But the most alarming (or intriguing) development is that the Philippines and NCFP is not being recognized by FIDE at all! We are supposed to be occupying the no. 30 to 33 spot but we're gone! Even US based GM, Rogelio Barcenilla is listed on "conditional" section. This is grave news. What exactly is happening here? Are we suspended or what? And for what reasons?

Di tayo nagbabayad ng fee natin. Even the PGMA and Pichay cup is not sanction ng FIDE.

In the FIDE Rating Card for Darwin Laylo, he obtained his Grandmaster title in the year 2007. Maybe you are referring to GM-elect Ronald Dableo who failed to be included in the list because he did not met the required rating of 2500. For your information.

It's Ronald Dableo, not Darwin Laylo :)

Maybe that's one of the reasons why the NCFP has not given the prize money of our local players in the recent GMA and Pichay Cup. The NCFP has problems in their funding, but why organize international events without prize money?? Also, to add insult to injury, in the closing ceremonies of the events, foreigners were given all their prize money and the poor Filipinos were given none until today?? Really the sad state of Philippine chess...take note btw...representatives to the World Juniors Docena and Florendo did not go...coz no budget too! Poor players that were promised of exposure...

So what exactly will happen? does it mean that all rated tournaments in the Philippines will not be honored by FIDE from there on? I don't understand.
