GM Joseph Sanchez placed second at International Championship of French Speaking Countries

France based Filipino grandmaster, Joseph Sanchez recently finished second over all behind Canadian IM Jean Hebert at the International Championship of French Speaking countries held at Arvier, Aosta Valley, Italy from 27th of September to 4th October. Sanchez, the 11th grandmaster of the Philippines and former coach of GM Mark Paragua, represents Cannes Echecs here, actually tallied a similar 6.5 points with Hebert and third placer IM Anthony Wirig from France but superior tie break points goes to the Canadian and the championship.
