Manny Pacquiao mated the "Grandmaster" Joshua Clottey

Former welterweight IBF World Champion Joshua Clottey of Ghana, who's nicknamed the "Grandmaster" and whose body was designed to absorbed and endure severe physical punishment survived the 12 round relentless onslaught from the much smaller but quick and sleek Manny Pacquiao. Clottey seems to be content of finishing the fight without getting knock out as he resorted to over defensive style of fighting. This is quite unusual to a bigger, stronger fighter where the smaller guy is supposed to be in a defensive. Pacquiao won 120-108, 119-109 and 119-109 on the judges’ cards. It was witness live by over 51,000 boxing fans at 1.2 billion dollar Dallas Cowboy Stadium. A fight with the winner of Mosley-Mayweather in May seems an inevitable opponent for Pacquiao.

Not so impressive though, Arnel Pineda did not a deliver a knock out performance in singing the national anthem of the Philippines. In his rendition of Lupang Hinirang, the lead vocalist of the legendary American rock band Journey tried to push himself too much and was caught a bit out of tempo in the end. The fans cheered just the same.
