Armenian GM Levon Aronian leads the 17th Amber Blindfold and Rapid Chess Tournament

After Round 8 Levon Aronian continues to lead in the overall standings of the Amber Blindfold and Rapid Tournament. In a direct encounter the Armenian grandmaster beat runner-up Vishy Anand 1,5-0,5. Magnus Carlsen moved into second place thanks to a 2-0 rout of Shakhriyar Mamedyarov. Peter Leko follows in third place, half a point ahead of Anand, Kramnik, Morozevich and Topalov.
