3rd Cacultta Open Grandmaster Chess Updates! Rd.3 - Barbosa wins, Nolte draw, Garma lost

National Master Oliver Barbosa downs FM Minzahuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh to lift his points to 2.5 points after three rounds of the 2008 Calcutta Open Grandmaster Chess Tourney in India.
The said win was after the upset draw of Barbosa against tournament top seed and Super GM Krishnan Sasikiran of India.
IM Rolando Nolte, who achieved his 1st GM norm just recently in the ASEAN Masters and is looking for his 2nd GM norm, halved point with GM Das Neelotpal of India to also score 2.5 points.
IM Nolte and NM Barbosa are currently in 6th to 19th places.
IM Chito Garma was not as unfortunate as he lost to 2007 World Junior Champion, GM Ahmed Adly of Egypt.
Barbosa, Nolte and Garma, who are all aiming to get a GM norm in this tourney, will next face GM Chanda Sandipan of India, GM Vladimir Dobrov of Russia and Sagar Shah of India, respectively.
